Martha's Letter

2014 June 12

Created by Paul 9 years ago
This was dictated to Paul in Wheatfields Hospice, Headingley, on 16th May 2014. To be read at her Celebration event whenever that would be!! My Dear Friends, The sad bit is over, and I am now at peace, released from all the suffering I have had to endure for the last few months. Paul has looked after me with such compassion and caring, and I could not have managed without him. Please look after him. He has been an absolute Brick, being so brave and supportive through all we have had to endure together, as have my Wonderful children. I want you all now to CELEBRATE my life and have a good evening. Whilst the last 6 to 7 months have been extremely traumatic for Paul and I, we have both been overwhelmed by all the love, support and kindness from the many friends we have made together over the years, at Grange, in the Amateur Circle, here at the Cathedral and far beyond. Nothing has been too much trouble for anyone, and you have all been so kind. Our Family has been a dream, and our Grandchildren are the Eternal light of our lives. Once again, enjoy the music, enjoy the singing, and enjoy the "Ham Tea" With Lots of Love to you all, Martha.xx
